PRIZE MONEY & AWARDS

Prizes will be awarded to both male and female finishers in each of the following categories below.

Prize Money Categories

OVERALL MARATHON WINNERS
1st place male/female – $1,500
2nd place male/female – $750
3rd place male/female – $375

OVERALL HALF MARATHON WINNERS
1st place male/female – $1,000
2nd place male/female – $500
3rd place male/female – $250

 

OVERALL MARATHON & HALF MARATHON AWARDS

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place overall male and female.

AGE GROUP AWARDS

The top 3 in each age male/female age group will receive an award.
The age groups are:
19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-99.

MASTERS MARATHON DIVISION

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place overall male and female for over age 40.

WHEELCHAIR DIVISION

Awards will be given for 1st Wheelchair – Madison Marathon Special Award


 

10K AWARDS

OVERALL AWARDS

Awards will be given for the top 5 overall male and female.

AGE GROUP AWARDS

The top 3 in each age male/female age group will receive an award.
The age groups are:
19& Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-99.

Rules and Regulations

  • Overall placing and money will be determined by Gun Time.
  • Gun time will be used for the overall prize winners (top overall men and women and top masters men and women), but net time (the time recorded by the timing chip) will be used for all age-group scoring.
  • All prize money will be distributed post-event after all W-9s have been collected and scoring has become official.
  • Participants that are currently NCAA eligible athletes or under the age of 18 are not eligible for prize money due to eligibility restraints with the NCAA, High School Associations and AAU.
  • Madison Marathon does not support the use of any illegal or banned substances.
  • Awards will be mailed out within 45 days of the event. We do not host an awards ceremony.
